Logis Hotel Arcalod - Grand Parc

We stayed at this hotel in summer. The outside is nice and modern, especially around the pool, and the free bike rental is a highlight. But the rooms are in terrible shape: very worn and more like a one-star hotel. The prices don’t match the quality. Critical reviews are reportedly asked to be deleted in exchange for a discount.

With a spacious terrace and a lovely, comfortable dining room, this is easily my favorite place to eat around here. The food was amazing and the service fantastic. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We explored beautiful Lake Annecy thanks to the free bike hire, which was a real bonus. Our ground-floor room had recently been renovated and opened onto a small garden. The reception team were friendly and efficient, and dinner in the restaurant was good value, nicely prepared, with a good wine selection. Great hotel, and we'd definitely return.

We really enjoyed our week at the Arcolod and hope to come back. A few things could be improved: it would be nice to have a choice of main course, though we liked all the meals. The hills around here make electric bikes a useful option to hire. It was odd not having the same restaurant table each day. Some mornings, other guests were sitting at ours even though it had our room number on it. Also, it would help if the website showed a room plan, so guests could pick a balcony facing the way they prefer. We paid for one of the most expensive rooms, but our balcony only got the early morning sun and was too cold to sit on in the afternoon.
