A quiet little road about half an hour from Mont Saint Michel makes this a nice, calm base near the attraction. Our room was comfortable, very clean and quiet. The owner is a friendly lady who can also provide dinner for a reasonable fee. We had delicious crêpes, and the appetizer was Pommeau, a local specialty. There are crêpes at breakfast too. We really enjoyed our stay.

We only stayed one night at La Bretonnière while on a motorcycle trip, but it felt like a magical pause in the world of Mireille and Émile's racehorse breeding farm. From the property, we could see Mont Saint-Michel and the paddock where the mares graze with their foals of the year. Mireille and Émile gave us a very warm welcome. Dinner at the communal table was home-style, made with local produce, and a nice chance to chat with our hosts and fellow travelers. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

We stayed just one night, but this is definitely an address to remember. The room was beautiful, the setting wonderfully peaceful, the host very pleasant, and breakfast excellent.

Mireille and Emile made it so pleasant that leaving was hard. The countryside location near Mont Saint-Michel is very peaceful, and the room is large, with a welcoming family atmosphere. The meals were delicious and made from excellent ingredients, and the value for money was excellent too.
