Gîte Lou Cabanon

Daniel and Maryse's gîte was just right for recharging in the Var countryside, surrounded by pine and olive trees. We kept busy with the pool, two terraces, and large garden. The charming, clean house was so well equipped that nothing was missing, and we felt right at home. The owners were extremely pleasant and welcoming, while still giving us space. They shared lots of tips for walks and places to visit. We explored pretty Provençal villages and enjoyed the French Riviera beaches, around a 35-40 minute drive away. We highly recommend it.

The house has everything you need and more, and I especially loved the two terraces for shared meals and the sun loungers in the large garden. Lavender and plenty of trees gave us spots to rest in the shade during the summer heat. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was lucky that Mrs. Marbaud speaks and understands German. The holiday home sits somewhat secluded in the mountains, away from traffic noise, with the cicadas clearly audible instead. It's pure southern France. I love it.

We spent two weeks here and were warmly welcomed. The owners were discreet but available with advice, and their kindness and thoughtful arrival touches, including cold drinks and homemade jam, were much appreciated. The accommodation is very well equipped, with a covered terrace for meals in the shade and plenty of games and toys for children. The above-ground pool felt safe for children. The apartment had even more equipment than we needed, and its peaceful setting at the end of a secluded little path was a real plus. We had a wonderful week at Lou Cabanon, with a fantastic welcome and helpful guidance as we explored the region. Thanks again for the week. Franck.
