Campanile NATURE - Dreux

We were five people with motorbikes, staying for one night. Check-in was friendly and easy, and the simple rooms were very clean. The bar on site serves draught beer, and breakfast was a generous continental spread that set us up for the day. The gated car park was locked overnight, so we felt comfortable leaving our bikes there. There's also an all-you-can-eat buffet just across the road.

Julie, the owner, is wonderful, and the food is great. The welcoming atmosphere made our month-long stay feel hospitable from start to finish.

The staff are dedicated, professional, and accommodating. They go out of their way to help with anything, which makes this an excellent hotel.

The beds were comfortable, and the entrée and dessert were good, but I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. We arrived to find a double bed instead of the twin beds we'd requested. The receptionist was unfriendly and resisted changing it. When he eventually found another room, it was farthest from the dining room, even though he could see I have serious mobility issues. The bathroom sink was blocked and the kettle didn't work. When we reported both problems, there was no response at first. At 10:30 pm he finally brought drain cleaner, but nothing was done about the kettle, and he didn't apologize. We also weren't offered a choice of dinner. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
