The owners are the highlight here, two lovely people who greet you with a smile, explain how everything works, and offer ideas for places to visit. They’ll even help book a table at the excellent restaurant next door. They were also patient and accommodating when an American guest, me, got the day wrong for our party’s return visit. Know your French weekdays before traveling! The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the rest of Dun-sun-Meuse, with plenty of parking on site. The rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable. In summer, the air conditioning will chill your water, and the showers have strong pressure with fresh, clean towels. Fasthotel/Les Rale des Genets is a fantastic place to stay, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to the area and staying at Les Rale des Genets again.

The room was good, and the beds worked especially well for two people with back problems. Breakfast offered a wide selection and was good. The hotelkeeper couple were wonderful and friendly, and they gave us all the information we needed in English. Check-in and checkout went smoothly. It was well worth the money.

It was our first time staying here, and we felt very warmly welcomed. The peaceful surroundings made it easy to rest. Our room was clean, comfortable, and meticulously maintained, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Service was flawless. A truly lovely first stay.
