For what I paid for two adults and a child, the stay turned out better than I expected from the other comments. The room was relatively clean, the staff friendly, and luckily there were no loud guests. Breakfast wasn't great, though for that price I wasn't expecting much. There are better breakfast options around, and the Carrefour Hypermarket is just across the fence for takeaway lunch or breakfast and other shopping. There were two power outlets in the room, one near the TV and one below the lights beside the bed. If you travel to hotels often, bring an extension cord, especially if you need a plug adapter.

When we opened the door, my son said it looked like a jail. There was a bunk bed, a double bed, a sink, a desk with a TV above it, and a strong cigarette smell that had sunk into the walls and mattresses. The shared bathroom and separate toilet weren't clean. We barely slept because the mattress smelled so strongly of smoke. The next morning I emailed Accor to cancel another reservation for four days later, since we couldn't sleep in those conditions, but they refused because it had been prepaid.

I've stayed here several times as a base for trips into Belgium. The staff are always polite and helpful, and it's normally clean. There's a good Carrefour just outside and a takeaway pizza place nearby. It's usually quiet, and a bit deserted at weekends. It's not luxurious, but if you can't accept the simple, low-cost nature of places like this, stay away.

Good value for money, with enough room to stay comfortably. The shared toilets and showers were clean and had toilet paper and soap. Cold buffet breakfast is extra, and pets cost 5 euros extra. Free Wi-Fi, and it's a five-minute drive from the centre. Bus 2a is free on weekends.
