Maison D'eclaibes

Anne-Marie made us feel welcome straight away, offering drinks and sharing a little of the family history. She was attentive and lovely throughout our overnight visit. The breakfast was incredible, with freshly squeezed orange juice, good coffee, plenty of choice, and homemade jams we liked so much that we bought a couple of jars. The house and grounds are stunning, and there are games, books, TV, and free Wi-Fi in the main room if the weather turns bad. We stayed in the two-bedroom setup: one room had a double bed and ensuite, while the other was split over two floors, with a single bed downstairs and a double bed with ensuite upstairs. The views were great and the beds were comfortable, though both mattresses were quite soft. A couple of quirks: the upper shower is low, so anyone over 5'7" will need to duck. The walk to the lake is pleasant, but difficult for anyone with mobility problems and nearly impossible in a wheelchair. The overgrowth means you can only see the lake from two spots. We only stayed one night and all of us wished we could have stayed longer. Would we come back? In a heartbeat. Easily the best B&B any of us have visited. Merci beaucoup, c'était incroyable.
