Ecully Loft

Getting there can be tricky, particularly at night if you arrive late after being in town. The facilities are excellent, the rooms and bathrooms are lovely, and the service was excellent too.

It was a lovely, restful stay, with public transport making it easy to get into the city. I'd definitely come back.

Everything was very clean, and the rooms had small kitchenettes and the other things we needed. There's also a little pool. The accommodation is right on the street, so there's some daytime noise, though it was quiet at night. We weren't keen on being asked to arrive at 5:30 pm, but we managed to arrange an earlier arrival. No one was there when we checked out at 10 am, and breakfast wasn't part of our booking, which we would have appreciated.

I booked for August and September back in July, then called the receptionist the day before arriving to tell her when I'd get there, since I was returning from abroad. She said she'd sent texts and emails. I hadn't received any emails, and I had already told her I couldn't be reached by phone while abroad. She canceled my reservation, leaving me scrambling to find somewhere else at the last minute. I strongly advise against staying here. I think my North African origins bothered her. She said there were no rooms left, although Booking.com still showed a studio apartment.
