After a long day on the road, we arrived with our two kids and were made to feel right at home. The host opened the kitchen early so they could eat, and adjusted the menu to include gluten-free food. There’s plenty to choose from at the bar, and the pool was a lovely way to cool off in the heat. We had a wonderful stay.

We found the hotel a little hard to locate, and our visit was in winter, so I imagine it looks even more picturesque in summer. Still, we’ll remember it fondly. It felt like Alice in Wonderland for rock music fans, and we were in a good mood the whole time. We travel often, and this was one of the most unusual places we’ve stayed. If you want a standard city hotel, it might not be for you, but if you enjoy quirky places and people, in the best sense, you’ll probably love it. We also ate dinner there. The set menu cost an almost ridiculous amount, yet the food was delicious, the sort of meal many big restaurants would envy. One person cooked and served us.

The food was the best I’ve ever had, and the service was impeccable. We loved the adorable place so much that we stayed two days instead of just one like many people do as a travel stop. Really glad we did.

Rock memorabilia is everywhere, and the food is excellent. The owner and manager really care about the place. A special spot if you need somewhere to stay around Lyon.
