Campanile Lyon Ecully

I chose this hotel for being close to Emlyon, which is really the only good reason to stay here. The rooms are OK, though the air conditioning and ventilation make a lot of noise despite the natural setting. The staff are pleasant but not very helpful. I asked about paying for a late checkout because of my late flight, and was told it couldn't be done since the cleaning crew finishes at 1pm. Breakfast was dull, with very few choices and mediocre coffee, juices, and everything else. It works only if being right by emlyon is your main priority.

Being near EM Lyon is why we booked, but my stay was a bad experience. The heater in the room didn't work, and with the temperature close to zero, I spent the night cold. I reported it the following day, but it still wasn't fixed. Breakfast wasn't much to look forward to either, with little choice of meat or cheese. The staff were kind enough to let me leave my bags while I went around the city. I would ask for a refund.

The room was quite small, had lots of spiders, and cost too much for what it offered. Nothing about it felt like good value. Maybe the business relies on visitors to Emlyon business school, but there's no need to worry about staying farther away, since buses 3 and 55 run regularly.

Its location right across from EM Lyon Business School is very convenient, especially for anyone needing to be near Centrale or another local institution. The restaurant is decent, and the rooms are OK, even if they aren't perfect.
