The food was amazing, including tarte flambe, duck, and veal ribs. It’s a quiet spot, away from noise and pollution, but still only about 10-15 minutes by car from Strasbourg. I think everyone there speaks German and English as well as French. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in, and I really hope I get the chance to come back.

I was in EntZheim, a lovely town in Alsace, to visit the bakery equipment manufacturer Bongard and stayed here. The hospitality, cleanliness, and setup all impressed me. Breakfast for hotel guests starts at 7.30am. Highly recommended for a holiday or work trip to Alsace.

They handled my food intolerances and allergies really well. Reception had already passed the details to the kitchen, so I didn’t need to explain everything again, and the restaurant prepared a special meal for me. There was fresh gluten free cake at the breakfast buffet too. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the price was fair.

The interior felt too old for my taste, though others found it atmospheric. The restaurant was very good, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and flexible. My sister and I asked to change from a double bed to separate beds, and they sorted it out without any trouble.

We expected confirmation for a two-night reservation, but none came, so we booked other hotels instead. Hotel Benoit wouldn’t reimburse even one of the two nights, though they likely could have rebooked it. The manager wouldn’t discuss the situation with us by phone. Poor customer relations, and it felt greedy on Hotel’s part.
