The manor house is peaceful and elegant, and the photos really don’t do it justice. Giles was a wonderful host, and breakfast was fabulous. It’s only a half-hour drive from the Calais ferry, which makes it a perfect overnight stop before taking the ferry to England. I just wish we’d had time to linger, or had stayed two nights instead of one.

The host is friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fresh and nicely presented, though basic. It’s a beautiful old French house surrounded by lush green gardens.

We stayed three nights as a group of five, welcomed into this delightful old house. The owner, Gilles, has restored it beautifully. Each room keeps its old style of decor and furnishings, while the en suite bathrooms are modern and have plenty of hot water. The garden is lovely, with countryside all around. It was a joy to look out in the morning and then come down to a delicious, ample continental breakfast. It’s an ideal place to stop en route to or from Calais, and we visited some nearby places of interest as well. Dogs are welcome, and there’s a beautiful wood not far away for walks.

Giles has done a great job restoring this old Napoleonic house. He’s a gentle man who takes good care of you. After a comfortable night in one of the well-appointed bedrooms, we had his own honey and jam for breakfast. The place is beautiful and peaceful, and we felt very welcome.

The owner gave us a really warm welcome, and breakfast was simple but perfect. The place is beautiful, with fantastic, quiet surroundings. I really enjoyed my stay and would book again if I were in the area.
