Studio Rétro Design - Bubble 8

Pascale was a wonderful host and a great guide to the area. She helped us understand both the region and how Champagne is made, and arranged a half-day trip to a Champagne house. She also connected me with Karen, who led a private tasting for us in the cellar of Bubble 8. We had a fantastic stay. The property itself is a beautifully presented former Chamber of Notaries of the Marne department, built in 1889 and renovated in 2017. It’s on a quiet street just off Place de la République, close to shops, cafes, restaurants and famous Champagne houses. A large underground car park nearby offers tickets for repeated entry and exit during your stay. We rented all four units: the two upper ground-floor studios, the first-floor two-bedroom apartment with a small balcony, which we used as our gathering spot, and the loft. Each unit has a small kitchen area, and the entrance, stairs and apartments were immaculate. The accommodation was comfortable and peaceful despite being so central, and we all enjoyed having our own apartments.

The apartment was nicely presented. Pascale welcomed us when we arrived and walked us through its features, which was really helpful.

We’ll definitely be back. The Green Nature studio was spotless and roomy, with a large bathroom, a separate toilet and a useful kitchenette. It’s also close to Av. De Champagne, which made for a perfect location.

The owner arranged a van outing to visit and taste at smaller producers in Ay and Hauteville, and it turned into a truly delightful day. Bubble 8 was a perfect base for exploring the Champagne region. I stayed in the Vertigo 2BR apartment with two family members, and we had plenty of space and comfort, plus great air conditioning. The train station and Avenue de Champagne were only a few minutes away on foot, and the city is easy to explore walking, with lots of lovely restaurants. I’d definitely return if I’m in the area.
