I ended up walking here after I couldn't find a way to reach the camping I'd originally planned. The pitches were full, but the receptionist offered me a "secret spot" they kept available for travellers "in need". I stayed three nights. The new sanitary block feels modern and luxurious, and the clean swimming pool was great for cooling off. You can walk from here to the centre.

After a few big days of riding, I was too exhausted to explore the nearby chateaux, even though I'd have liked to. The camp was a tough uphill bike ride, but the overnight stop was quiet, friendly, and perfect for relaxing. Reception was warm and wonderful, and the pitch was great for cyclists, with trees and powerpoints. I ordered bread for the morning. The pool was great, and the bar and restaurant were fantastic and reasonably priced. The toilets had seats and paper, and the showers were clean.

The uphill ride by bike is tough, but the camp is worth it. They gave us a warm, friendly welcome at reception. A well-run campsite in a quiet part of Epinal. It was very clean, and the pool was warm. Every tent pitch has its own picnic table, and many have standard power outlets right there.

The site is a lovely little place, with friendly staff, clean toilets and showers, and a small pool. Nearby there's a lovely park with ruins, animals, and lots of play equipment. You can get fresh bread in the morning and good french fries to take away in the evening. The washing machine and card payment terminal were broken, which was a small inconvenience. It's a 30-minute walk to the centre. If you're bringing a bike, make sure it has plenty of gears or an electric engine.
