L'Allegria

The location is amazing, but the service was terrible. We didn't feel treated like guests should be. At 11:30 AM we sat at a table by the marina to have a drink, and the server told us to move because those tables were only for people eating. At the other tables, we asked for a liter of water listed on the menu, but were told we could only have the 0.33 liter bottles because a liter was reserved for diners, since that was the right amount to drink with a meal. When we pointed out that the menu didn't say that, the server replied that he wouldn't serve us any water at all. We also asked for the WI-Fi password because the cellular connection there isn't great, but apparently it was only for hotel guests. We went to the lovely snack bar next door, where nobody made a fuss about how much water we wanted. Really, go next door. Unfortunately, we hadn't had internet to read the bad reviews beforehand. Restaurant, you have an amazing location, so we hope you treat your guests better in future.

A nice little spot for hiking Cap Corse, and our room was superb. It wasn't ready until 3.30 pm, though. When we arrived for breakfast, nothing was prepared. All they offered was some bread, marmelade and a coffee. We would have liked a better selection.

The food was bad. I ordered fish soup, but it was just plain broth with no sign of fish, plus a few pieces of bread with mayo, for 15 euros.

We'd never been treated like that anywhere in Corsica. The waiter sent us away because we wanted “only” three drinks and an entre, even though it was before the lunch rush and the restaurant was half empty. An hour later, our table was still empty. We went to the sandwich snack bar next door instead, where the service was lovely, the view was the same, the chairs were funny, and the sandwiches were great.
