The medieval square is just a short walk away, so it was easy to explore Mirepoix. We had such a warm welcome from Miranda and Ben, who made us feel at home right from the start. Our room was spacious, elegant, and really comfortable, with a lovely mix of charm and luxury. Their personal hospitality made the stay feel special. We’d happily recommend Relais Mira Peis for a memorable visit.

The rooms were lovely, but the stay was frustrating from the start. Even though they’d asked us for our arrival time, we were told when we arrived that there was no hot water. Parking was nearly impossible on a busy fete day, and we hadn’t been warned about it. We were directed to the pool, only to find it covered, while staff and their friends were using the terrace. The service seemed arranged around a young staff member’s needs, not the guests’. Breakfast was skimpy, cheap, stale, and joyless. For the location, it wasn’t inexpensive. I won’t stay again.

The people working there were among the kindest, most professional, and most dedicated I’ve met. I felt lucky to meet them and to be in their attentive care. Relais Mira Peis has a quiet, assured kind of luxury, as though you’ve stepped into a carefully designed fold in time and space. It doesn’t seek recognition, yet it earns it naturally.

The nearby village is full of medieval buildings and distinctive, high quality shops, all an easy walk away. There are several open air cafes on the square, which made eating and spending time there a treat. The place itself feels elegant, with luxurious furnishings, and you’re made to feel pampered and like family. A rare find.

The owners are lovely and speak French or English. The building is beautiful, with elegant furniture and curtains, and the decor feels sympathetic to it. It’s very peaceful. Continental breakfast is served in an elegant breakfast room.
