La Capelette

The cottage hadn't been cleaned at all before we arrived. A nice surprise during Covid! There was lubricant packaging and a packet of chips in the bedroom, the stair rail was black and sticky, and there was dust all under the sofa. The baby cot bedding was stained, and the high chair had no safety straps and one leg kept coming loose. The sofa bed was uncomfortable. There were no curtains on the doors, so headlights and other light woke us up. The mattress protectors were dirty, and there were sweat stains on a pillow. In short, we won't stay with you again.

The location is the only real plus. The cottage is tiny for a listing that says it sleeps four to six, so I wouldn't go with six people. We were afraid to walk on the broken floor in the upstairs bathroom. There's no privacy on the terrace, and you can hear everything through the walls.

The big garden and well-equipped cottage made this a great place to stay with children. It's also perfectly located for the beach. The nearest bakery or butcher is a 7 km drive away, though, and there's no small shop nearby either.

The bedding was impeccable, and the kitchen had everything, but there wasn't a single cleaning product or spice to get our holiday started. The place is nice, though the corners and terrace could use a better clean.
