Hôtel L'Escale

The room was spotless, and it was handy having a fridge. Everyone was welcoming and seemed glad to help. The shower worked well, but water got all over the floor no matter what, so we had to mop it up with the plenty of towels provided.

We stayed in the recently renovated house near the hotel, and thought it was excellent value. It has three large bedrooms, each with a bathroom and toilet, plus a big kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Guests can use the hotel's pool and spa. Highly recommended.

This is a peaceful place to unwind, rather than somewhere to go out on the town. We found it useful as an overnight stop or as a base for exploring the area, and the local bus makes getting around easy if needed. The rooms were very clean, the setting was picturesque, and there are historic sites nearby to visit and learn about. I'm a motorcycle rider, and it's a friendly place for bikers, with a garage available for storing bikes. The staff are very helpful. I've stayed twice now, and it's becoming our first choice when touring by motorcycle. I'd recommend the hotel or the small apartments.

A good friend recommended this lovely hotel and spa, and we were pleasantly surprised by both it and the small town. We got a warm welcome, enjoyed the bar and breakfast, and could walk to the beach. The countryside views were lovely too, including those of Cap Blanc New. I only wish we'd booked another night or two so we could make fuller use of the hotel amenities. We'd like to visit again.
