Aux Portes des Monts d'Aubrac

We were a group of 17 cyclists and hikers from the Dordogne, and had a wonderful stay. The welcoming staff and great managers made us feel at home, and the kitchen service was excellent. The apartments were well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable visit. The pleasant, functional complex felt relaxing, and the region is beautiful, full of history, with plenty of scenic climbs.

A very quiet place if you’re after some relaxation, and it’s good for hiking. It’s a shame the activities are only offered to groups. The restaurant is the same, and you can’t even stop in for a coffee. Not much for teenagers.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant and bar served excellent pizzas and hamburgers. Our small apartment was clean and well equipped, and the pool was great. It’s a fantastic, peaceful holiday village. Espalion and the surrounding area are truly beautiful. We’ll be back, thank you!

We stayed here 22 years ago, when it was called "VVF", and it’s still very well run. The accommodation was clean, functional, and well maintained, and the staff were warm and friendly. Excellent value for money.
