The hosts at La Halte St-Jacques are so generous and kind, and made our stay feel special. The place really carries the spirit of el camino through a warm, wholesome welcome. Whether you’re walking on St-Jacques or just visiting Espalion, I couldn’t recommend a better place. Thank you, and Buen Camino!

There was a real effort to bring guests together, and the hosts were welcoming. The beds and bath were clean and comfortable, and the food was thoughtful and delicious. The host played the accordion, and guests joined in with singing and dancing.

Dinner was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The rooms were nice enough, with a lot of effort put into them. Everything was wonderful, and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming.

The owner was welcoming and answered lots of our questions, mostly in English. He even played his accordion and joined us for a delicious dinner cooked by Martine. This gite is right on the GR 65, the Chemin du Puy toward Santiago de Compostelle, and the laundry machines were a real help when there wasn't much daylight left to dry things. The rooms were clean, though the beds could be more comfortable. A very pleasant stay.
