La Pinède du Lac

The setting at La Pinède du Lac is a highlight. It sits on a hillside among pine trees, with a magnificent view of Lake Esparron. We spent the evenings outside listening to cicadas and enjoying all the greenery, and with so little light pollution, the stars were breathtaking. The house is in a very quiet spot but still close enough to the village for local activities. We swam in the lake and rented canoes to explore the area. Nadine gave us a warm welcome and was friendly and attentive throughout. Breakfast under the pines, looking out at the lake, included homemade jams and fresh eggs, which made for a lovely, authentic start to the day. Some improvements are needed, but the setting and Nadine's hospitality make this B&B very good value. A good place to unwind outdoors.

The hosts were welcoming and very pleasant, and breakfast was good while the meal was generous. I found the price very reasonable for what’s offered. The area is especially nice for night photography, with very little light pollution and a beautiful spot to shoot. There’s also a sublime view of the lake, or part of the Alps, at sunset and in the morning. The absolute quiet makes it very relaxing.

For a romantic getaway, this place has everything you need. The setting and views of the Gorges are magnificent, and breakfast was excellent, with tasty homemade jams and local honey. The owner was friendly and welcoming.

A stay full of positive energy. The host was warm and radiant, and prepared delicious, generous dishes packed with flavor. We were very comfortable, with good cleanliness and amenities.
