We stayed in the Africa Tent and liked how small and peaceful the site was. The town and lake are both an easy walk away. The family running the place were so friendly. We’d happily visit again when we’re back in Esparron.

The owners were kind and helpful, and the campsite itself was calm and pleasant. Toilets and showers were kept very clean. There’s fresh bread and croissants each morning, and the village is about a 15-minute walk away, with a small shop, snack bars, and boat rentals. Even in September, the lake water was warm enough for a swim. You can rent well-equipped cabins or tents here. We’d recommend it and hope to return.

We were about a 15-minute walk from the lake, where kayaking or paddling would be great. Our pre-pitched tent was really comfortable, especially compared with bringing our own, and came with a small fridge and gas stove for breakfast eggs. You can order bread and croissants the day before, or eat at the little restaurant. It’s family-run, and a lovely family at that. Highly recommend.

This was our second family visit. It’s a small, quiet, clean campsite with shady pitches and good rental tents. The lake is around a 15-minute walk away. There’s no entertainment or noise, which suited us well, and everyone was very friendly.
