Camping Biper Gorri

The pool is excellent, and most of the staff were very good, but our restaurant experience was a real low point. The menu is limited, though the food itself was good. The young man at the counter was rude from the moment we arrived. We ordered a pichet of rosé, but he brought red wine. When we mentioned it, he shouted, “You ordered red!” A few minutes later, presumably after checking, he returned and grudgingly apologized. Later he offered us free wine, but by then we didn't want to accept it. I don't know what his problem was. The pitches could use some leveling, especially given the money spent on that great pool. Also watch where you park in October, falling acorns can be a hazard.

We had a fantastic campervan stop here. It was clean, convenient and felt safe, and we got a friendly welcome. The pool was amazing, and getting to the Basque countryside or coast was easy.

I called at 1pm and was told I couldn't reserve, though there were still some van spaces and no guarantee. When we arrived at 3pm with two small children, they said everything had been booked for the past three days. That's unacceptable.

The modern facilities are unisex, and there are odd open-air urinals with a bamboo plant supposedly screening them. The indoor pool was available too, though rather cold, and WiFi was free in April.
