Hotel Renoir Saint Germain

I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels around Europe, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. We arrived and the manager treated us very disrespectfully, leaving us and several other guests waiting a long time without explaining why. Then, rather than giving us the accommodation we booked, they sent us to another property they also own. Completely unacceptable. The room was old and neglected. The sink and shower were broken, the wallpaper was torn and worn, and our window looked onto a dirty, unpleasant backyard. The lobby was in terrible shape, dirtier and older-looking than the streets outside. The quality and lack of care were a complete disaster and disappointment. Several guests who arrived with us were already trying to leave within an hour. It doesn’t deserve even one euro a night. We trusted the Booking Genius recommendation, but this turned out to be a disgrace. Booking should seriously reconsider listing hotels like this.

For a three-star hotel, I’d say this was better than average. The location was very good and the hotel was clean overall. Our first room wasn’t very clean and had a broken refrigerator, but after we reported it, they moved us to a much better room. I think it’s a good place to stay.

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s not a luxury place, but it has what you need for a comfortable stay. I booked mainly because people kept mentioning the location, despite the negative reviews, and my experience was actually very good. I don’t get why its rating doesn’t match that.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to mention David at reception. My family of five stayed at the hotel, and when my mom got sick, he helped us out with such wonderful hospitality and guest service. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
