The house has real character, and the location is great. By the pool, the lovely lady of the house made us a very nice G&T. A great place to see while you're in the area.

The wedding at the property on the weekend of July 28, 2018 ended in a terrible way. The organizers had warned the neighborhood and the mayor of Espiet, who had authorized the event, but the host seemed unable to accept that a wedding might continue past 1 a.m. She walked her dogs through the park while guests were eating, so they could relieve themselves there, and shouted insults at the organizers, some of them bordering on racist. At 1:30 a.m. the owner switched off the park lights to drive the guests out so she could finally "sleep". I suspect she was drunk, and it ruined what should have been a magical evening. The hosts showed no compassion or mercy, while the wedding organizers had done nothing wrong. I would strongly advise against renting even a room here, in case you disturb the couple's peace.

The hosts were awful to deal with, and we couldn't properly enjoy this beautiful estate while celebrating my relatives' wedding. The host even got to the point of wanting to cut the electricity.
