The room was cheap and worked for a family, and there were lots of toys for the kids. The host was friendly, though the opening hours weren't very convenient. You can call if you need to reach them. The old building has charm, but it's also very noisy, and being on the top floor without a fire or emergency exit is a real concern. For pizza, there's a good place nearby, but it opens too late for families with young children. We tried the pizza machine instead. It took about three minutes per pizza, which was very quick, but the quality was no better than supermarket pizza. There were hardly any vegetarian choices either. Almost all the pizzas had pork, which feels pretty outdated in 2025.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and the owner was charming and really helpful. He even brought us bread and croissants the next morning. We had a lovely time, though the bath only had a handheld shower rather than a proper one. It's a quirky place in the grounds of a big old house, in a typical village. I think the accommodation used to be a barn. The stairs are steep, and the TV turned itself on during the night.

Check-in was easy and hassle-free, and the host and cat were both very friendly. The rooms are spacious, with a nice rustic look and wooden details. Breakfast was simple but lovely, with plenty of coffee and good bread.

We really enjoyed our one-night stop on the way through France. The little chateau is lovely, the owner was very friendly, and breakfast was good. It's also close to the highway.
