Brit Hotel Le 940 Le Touquet – Etaples

There’s a seated bar with an outdoor terrace for good weather, and the restaurant starts serving at 7pm, which suited us after a full day on the road. The menu was decent, too. It’s an easy place to find before the Tunnel, with loads of free parking, and reception were friendly. Our small rooms were consistently comfortable and clean. Nothing to complain about.

We asked for a ground-floor room because my wife needs surgery, and they arranged one for us. The price and service were fair for a budget hotel. Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from, though I would have liked bacon with the eggs. There was a hard-boiled egg instead, which is just personal taste. We didn’t eat dinner there. If it’s served in the same place as breakfast, I’d expect the food to be good, though probably without much atmosphere. It seems suited to business guests. I think there may be new owners who plan to renovate over time. We might return if we stay in Etaples again.

The food was delicious, and the staff made our visit easy, helping with directions and getting around. Communication was no trouble, and our rooms stayed clean and comfortable. My family and I spent a few nights here while visiting the area last summer. The hotel is in a lovely spot, within walking distance of the Etaples Military Cemetery, which we wanted to see. I’d recommend this cozy place.

The staff here were attentive and glad to go the extra mile, and the food was excellent with first-class service. The rooms aren’t large, but they’re furnished better than those at some bigger chain hotels. We’ve travelled around Europe quite a bit this year, and if service alone decided the rating, this place would get five stars. We’ll be back again and again. Thank you, Hotel Kyriad.
