We had a really flavourful meal, with very generous portions. The chef's choice of rose was excellent, too. The room felt lovingly restored and was very quiet at night, until a rooster woke us much too early. One thing to know: dogs can be on the property but not in the restaurant. Luckily, we could enjoy our excellent meal outside 👌🏻

We remembered the restaurant as quite good from our visit three years ago, so returning the day before yesterday was a letdown. The starters and dessert were okay, but the pintade main course arrived cold. They quickly put the plates through the microwave and brought them back. It definitely didn't seem freshly cooked. Such a shame the ferme auberge has lost what it had.

Lovely proprietors, and such a beautiful place.

Really top-notch.

The quiet countryside setting was a highlight, with horses, donkeys, and cows out in the pasture. The old farm building is many hundreds of years old, and the peace and quiet are wonderful. We first stayed for a night on our way south, then booked again on the return trip. It's typical French countryside, where people still leave the car keys in the contract without locking the doors. Our first-floor room was at the top of a wide staircase. It was neat and quite well equipped for an auberge, with a roomy antique wardrobe, a small bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, a separate toilet, a small fridge, satellite TV, and a terrace with seating. The bed was very comfortable, and thick walls kept the room quite cool. Dinner is a Table d'hôte, so you eat whatever is on the menu. For just 28 euros, there was more than enough: a big serving of homemade pâté, then homemade sausage stew with girolles and potato in red wine sauce, plus tomato salad in vinaigrette. French cheese followed, also homemade, and dessert was crème brûlée with redcurrants. A bottle of wine is included in the price. Breakfast was typically French, with baguette, croissants, butter, jam, yogurt, and a pot of coffee or tea for the famous French cup of coffee the size of a bathtub. Dogs are welcome in the bedroom, but not the dining room. This place is highly recommended.
