Montempô Apparthôtel Evry

The room itself was very clean, but it was really tiny. The rest of the hotel looked nothing like the pictures, which may have been taken when it was brand new. It seemed badly maintained, with dark, dirty corridor carpets and a strong food smell everywhere. We also didn’t feel safe in the neighborhood. After dinner at around 10 pm, we came back to find the entrance door wide open and no hotel staff around. We wanted to leave on check-in day, but stayed one night and left early the next morning. I had booked two nights through Expedia after using its search engine, which listed air conditioning and parking. There was only a small, noisy fan and no parking, so the search results badly misrepresented the hotel and made the stay a nightmare.

I stayed nearly three weeks and found it clean and comfortable, with helpful, friendly staff. I didn’t try breakfast, though it looked good. Free parking is available around the area, but you may have to wait for a space during the day. In the evenings it wasn’t a problem. My room was mostly quiet, apart from the occasional late-night reveller. To be fair, they were drunk and could barely walk straight, which can happen even in the best hotels. Evry 2 shopping mall is a couple of hundred metres away, and there’s a great bar next door, or close by. One cooker ring didn’t work, but reception sorted it easily by lending me another cooker. It was a pleasant stay, and I’ll come back for sure. The long-stay rate drops to around 32 euros a night if you stay a month.

The place was clean, and the staff were welcoming and very professional. I’d recommend it to anyone needing somewhere to stay near Paris for work or vacation.

The rooms cost less than nearby options, but the hotel management didn’t respond.
