We were just two, staying in the smallest gite, and found the main bedroom large with a comfortable bed. The second room has bunk beds, handy for young children. Although it was quite cold outside during our November long weekend, the wood burner warmed things up quickly. The gites have been renovated beautifully, retaining their rustic charm while adding modern conveniences such as a fully equipped kitchen and power shower. There’s a working TV, some DVDs and board games if you want to unplug for a few days. The nearest supermarket is a convenient 10-minute drive away.

It’s small, but fine for a couple’s holiday. I do find it rather odd that firewood costs extra in winter, since I think everything should be included in a rental.

The owners were friendly, and dogs are welcome. The place was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated, with spacious grounds. Highly recommended.
