Maison d'hôtes Maison Hache

The veal sweetbreads were remarkable, and the wine pairings I had were well chosen and well priced. Everything else was exceptional too, from the atmosphere and service to the dishes. We’ve eaten at several Michelin restaurants over the past two weeks, and this one was our favorite. We had a wonderful meal at the starred Michelin restaurant.

Definitely deserving of its 1*. We first had the chef’s degustation for 96 euros, with each course showing superb culinary skill. The meal centered on local seafood and produce, including oysters, white fish, tomatoes, and mushroom, all presented in ways I found quite unique. Friendly, efficient service made for a leisurely mid-week lunch. We enjoyed that first visit so much that we came back two days later, which is always a sign of greatness. This time we ordered à la carte, with seasonal tomato starters and a seafood main. Excellent! Dessert was a totally decadent, yummy chocolate dessert. Don’t miss Maison Hache, highly recommended.

The village is wonderfully charming, and the setting is phenomenal. Add lovely rooms and food that’s hard to beat, and Maison Hache already has a winning formula. The service team is great too, and Christopher brings such a wonderful spirit to the place.

The meal was faultless, and every dish was both creative and delicious. The whole evening felt spot on, from the warm welcome at the front of house to the sommelier’s knowledge. The chef is seriously talented.
