Chateau Pontet d'Eyrans & Spa

We had a comfortable bed, decent breakfast, and good parking with security. Communication about our late arrival as American guests was good too. The only problem was an odd smell in the room. The AC didn’t get rid of it or cool the room enough.

The owners made me feel at home, taking such care to respond to my needs and make me feel special. I was there on a business trip and really enjoyed the food, especially breakfast, which is worth the visit on its own. The rooms are very old style, but that gives the place charm, and they’re more than comfortable. I didn’t get to try the spa, but I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The food was first class, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent hotel.

The soundproofing needs work. We could hear a lot from the hallway and entrance, which could disturb your rest, and the room TV was small, old, and awkwardly placed so it didn’t face the bed. Still, the setting is magnificent, and the château is beautifully decorated and well maintained, with plenty of charm. The spa was a lovely chance to relax, and the staff were welcoming, attentive, and caring. Everything was impeccably clean, especially the bathrooms. Secure parking was handy, as was the bakery right across from the hotel. Despite those few drawbacks, it’s a very pleasant place to stay, with a lovely setting and good service.
