There’s a small kitchen for guests with a fridge and coffee machine, which was a nice extra. Charles was so kind and took time to show us around the house and tell us about its history. Our room was fabulous, spotless, and had a lovely bathroom. The street was quiet, and it was only a five-minute walk into the centre of Falaise. Breakfast was simple but lovely, and Charles was always ready to help. Falaise is an interesting town with plenty of ships and restaurants to choose from, making it a perfect stop after the ferry. We’d highly recommend it and will be back.

Castel Saint-Leonard is an extraordinary place, and Charles welcomes guests into his own home with genuine warmth. The rooms are beautiful and full of history, and the location in the centre of Falaise makes it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. It’s also convenient for exploring the region. If you’re tired of standard, boring hotels, this is a very different kind of stay. Highly recommend it, and we’ll return. Merci Charles!

We could park in the courtyard, which was a real bonus. The guest house is in a great spot for visiting Falaise, inside a listed mansion filled with unusual memorabilia. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and served a wonderful continental breakfast.

Charles looked after us so well and served a good breakfast. The accommodation was comfortable and beautifully furnished. I especially loved the history of the building and its period features.

The host is friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was plenty satisfying. The little palace feels like a genuine step back decades, maybe even centuries. You can sense the care given to its architecture, culture and atmosphere. If you like authentic decor, antiques and a hint of Louis XVI nobility, it’s worth considering. The polished acrylic and Ikea-style look isn’t what you’ll find here.
