The garden was lovely, and booking by email was very simple. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into the centre. The rooms are beautiful and quaint, and we got a lovely welcome. Breakfast was fantastic, with homemade yogurt and jams, homegrown strawberries, juice from homegrown apples, charcuterie and cheese.

The breakfast was just right for us, with almost everything homemade, and the welcome was lovely. The room, bed, linens, furnishings and style were all spot on too. The photos and website really don't show how wonderful a stay here is. We didn't want to leave. Just brilliant, thank you for such a great stay. If there'd been a six-star option, I'd have picked it.

We were here for one night to see the castle, and this characterful former 15th-century auberge was the perfect fit. Exceptional comfort and hospitality.

The garden is beautiful, and there's free parking very close by. Our room was immaculate and breakfast was excellent. We came over via Portsmouth to Caen and reached France at 9:45 pm, then got a really warm welcome from the hosts when we arrived at 10:30 pm. Highly recommended.

A lovely place and a great base for exploring. The room was super, clean and tidy, and the breakfast really lives up to all the praise it gets.
