We had a lovely stay and a sea view from our room. The bathroom was small and a little worn, but it caused us no problems. The lift felt a bit scary, so we usually took the stairs. Breakfast was a typical French breakfast, and the staff understand English. 3.75.

The hotel and its location are lovely, and we might have had a great stay if not for the bed bugs and the response afterward. At 3:30 am my wife and I woke to bed bugs in the bed. Our blanket was infested, and we found more dead bugs in the closet while looking for another one. The front desk was closed overnight, so we couldn't ask to move rooms and didn't sleep at all. Since bed bugs can travel easily, we've been worried about bringing them home. When we reported it the next morning, the front desk woman responded sarcastically, "how did it get there?" She offered no apology and showed no emotion as we showed her photos and the bites. My wife had 12 bites. It felt like she was just waiting for us to leave.

The owners are absolute sweethearts and were happy to help with dinner reservations or anything else we needed. My husband and I stayed one night in room 32 at The Hotel De La Plage while starting our trip around Northern France. We could see the water between the houses. The room was decorated in blue, with a proper double bed rather than two twins pushed together, plus a little corner table and two chairs. The bathroom was nicely arranged and very functional. Breakfast costs 7.50Euro per person, and you sign up when you arrive. The lift goes to the second floor, which is the third floor in the US. If your room is on their third floor, the fourth in the US, you'll need to walk up one flight.
