Chateau De Vauloge

The hostess made the place feel like home. We had a lovely time chatting with her about the château and life over champagne, and breakfast was the best we had on our trip. Our room for three was comfortable and full of charm, and the common areas were beautiful too. There’s a fantastic heated pool. The château sits in a lovely rural setting, with a wonderful garden and forest around it. Le Mans, with its old center and great restaurants, is about 30 minutes away. A beautiful place for a stay fit for a king.

The welcome at check-in and check-out was lovely, and there’s parking on site. There’s no elevator, though. Dinner in the castle is a must for the Downton Abbey feeling. The food could be better, but the experience was wonderful. Breakfast had loads to choose from: cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, fresh-cut fruit, croissants, bread, and eggs and bacon made to order, plus orange juice, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The room was very clean and well kept. There are two living rooms where you can relax, and they serve champagne before dinner and coffee or tea afterward. The castle and its grounds are beautiful and look great in photos. If you’re after a castle experience, this is the place.

We stayed in Casanova and loved it. The rooms are great, the pool is beautiful, and the amenities are excellent. For a royal-style vacation, château Vauloge is beautiful. Micola was an amazing host, with a really nice balance. She was happy to offer recommendations and welcomed us with a glass of champagne. Breakfast was great, especially the delicious orange juice. She also sets the table with such a delicate touch that it adds a bit of magic.

SPECTACULAR place. The reception was kind and accommodating, and the service was very good. It’s quiet, well cared for, and trilingual. We wandered around the grounds, played with the prettiest dog, Scarlett, and took 1000 photos. Very recommended.
