Paxton Paris MLV

We were a short walk from the train station, with just two stops to Disneyland, and the hotel also runs a shuttle in the morning and evening. Breakfast had lots to choose from. Our duplex room was really comfortable. For our two boys, though, we would have preferred two single sofa beds instead of one double. It wasn't a big issue.

We felt unsafe and uncomfortable after two security guards and the receptionist came to our door, acting aggressively and making threats. They had asked us to turn down our music, and we did, but then they threatened to call the police and tried to lead us out of the room. Some of our things were later found stuffed behind the bedside table after the room had been rearranged during cleaning. When we arrived, the connecting door to the neighboring hotel room was unlocked, so we had to shut and lock it ourselves. The room was freezing whatever setting we put the thermostat on, and staff brought us a portable heater. Certain staff members were rude and aggressive. Avoid this place.

We had a clean duplex room that was cleaned daily, with fresh towels. The pool and spa were lovely and clean, and there's a beautiful Italian restaurant. Staff were friendly too. I’d read some reviews that made me a bit concerned, but I honestly couldn’t fault the place. The walk to the train station took us 15 minutes and was easy, with crossings along the way, despite what some people say. I’d happily recommend it and stay again. You can't please everyone.

The breakfast had everything we needed, and the pool and spa looked very modern. The hammam was good, though I wish the sauna had been hotter. The room was on the modest side, but its newly redesigned furnishings were exquisite.
