Le Cheminard

A cosy, welcoming hotel, and the family were very accommodating when we had to leave early. We enjoyed the croissants and homemade jam at breakfast. Thanks, Sam and Charlie.

I've stayed in plenty of B&Bs, but haven't had an experience this disappointing before. The bedding felt outdated, and we couldn't sleep the first night. The toilets were shared and out in the hallway. Breakfast was decent, though very basic: croissant, bread, and butter. The owners were barely polite, which left me wondering whether they still want to host guests.

The meal deserves a mention: it was generous, extremely delicious, and made with local ingredients. Our room was absolutely adorable, and the romantic weekend package made for a lovely escape. This is a magnificent, peaceful spot in the heart of the forest. The road is a little rough, though the weather didn't help either. The welcome was fantastic, and the owners were incredibly kind. We loved being able to switch off and enjoy their haven of peace. I'm surprised by some of the comments. Our stay was top-notch, and I'm grateful for that blissful moment. I'd recommend it 300%!

The food was delicious, with local produce and a touch of originality, and our hosts were simple and kind. It was our first bed and breakfast stay, and we loved how warmly and kindly they welcomed us. If you're after a few quiet days somewhere secluded, surrounded by lovely people, this is the perfect place. We highly recommend it.
