Camping La Grappe Fleurie

Bread is available on site, and there’s a breakfast buffet and a wine bar. They also hold wine tastings on Tuesday and Friday evenings. It’s a well-run campsite right in the heart of Beaujolais country, with great facilities.

There was something happening each evening, with a bar as well, and they offered a few daytime excursions. We had food brought right to our pitch, which was unusual for us and really tasty. It was a little expensive, perhaps, but we thought it was worth every centime. We had an initial problem with our pitch, but the wonderful staff went out of their way to sort it out and even helped us move. Getting there through Fleurie is interesting.

We’ve just finished our third annual holiday at Camping de la Grappe Fleurie. Marie, Stephan and the team welcomed us warmly again, and this year they’d added a small bar. The staff there know the area and the wine, and it has a lovely atmosphere that really adds to the site. We also enjoyed the market trip with Marie and Stephan’s informative bike ride through the vineyards, along with the other excursions on offer. It’s a clean, tidy and friendly campsite, and well worth a visit.

There’s a pool, good facilities and generously sized pitches, as well as chalets. We even had the option of dinner delivered to our camping pitch. A food truck comes on Friday and Saturday nights, and there’s a bar too. The village is attractive, with a good wine cave that seems especially popular with locals on Sundays. The area is good for walking and cycling.
