The apartment had its own style, was equipped with what we needed, and looked out over the castle. The managers and staff were attentive, capable, and honest. It made for a pleasant, refreshing stay, though the price felt a little high.
By the end of the day, La Poterne felt like a sauna because it gets sun all day. Since there are two bedrooms, I tried to reach the manager for another fan, but got no response. I understand it was a holiday weekend, though I still expect a basic level of service, especially at that price. The location is beautiful, the apartment is well equipped, and the beds are very comfortable.
The Vigie room on the top floor was so charming and well equipped, with lovely decor, that we really didn't want to leave. We spent the weekend at Château de Fleury, a magical place. I highly recommend the Pierres d'Histoires concept. The region is beautiful and feels like a real change of scenery, even though it's close to Paris.
The concierge service lacked tact, which is why I took off a star. Still, staying at La Poterne du Château de Fleury was a joy, like travelling through the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. The decor is lovely and suits the setting perfectly.
There’s something special about staying in a beautiful old castle. The room was lovely.
