La villa de Fleury

We booked this as a private holiday home, but on arrival found that the owner lived there and that we’d be sharing all the communal areas. This wasn’t mentioned on the booking site. Please be aware of that when booking. The owner had guests over when we arrived, and they were barbecuing and swimming. We felt uncomfortable. He went to work twice, but was home on the other five days and outside of working hours. He used the kitchen, salon, toilets, and bathroom. Our bedrooms were on the same floor as his, and we shared the toilet and bathroom. On the last night, he invited guests to stay over and walked into the room where my young daughter was sleeping. I assumed he was checking whether he could use the room. We filed a complaint and are communicating with the booking company. If you don’t mind sharing the house and having strangers around, it is a nice place for a holiday. But this wasn’t what we booked, and the arrangement made us extremely uncomfortable. For a rental where everything is shared, it was also totally overpriced.

The indoor pool was a big hit with everyone, young and old, and in December it more than made up for not being able to use the outdoor pool. The house worked perfectly for my husband’s surprise birthday with our friends from Isère. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living room beautiful, and the outdoor area lovely. A huge thank you for an unforgettable weekend!

We were only passing through and booked at short notice, but got a wonderfully warm welcome, dog included, and a fantastic room. Such a shame we could only stay one night. Thanks so much, we’d love to come back. ♥️ Marion & Ingo & Pebbles

Everything was incredible when we had lunch at Villa Fleurie. The service, food, and setting were all splendid. I highly recommend it.
