We booked at the last minute and have no regrets. The view was superb, and the chalet itself magnificent, in a peaceful location. Our room was spacious and clean. The host was welcoming and helpful, especially with hiking information, and we even spotted chamois. Breakfast was excellent and generous. We’d gladly come back.

The chalet is lovely and in a beautiful location. My disappointment was with the breakfast schedule, not the chalet. Breakfast is included in the room price, but it’s only served from 8:30 to 9:45. Since 8:30 is effectively the end of the breakfast window, anyone setting off for a hike at 8:00 or 8:30 can’t have the breakfast they’ve already paid for. The Genévriers website promotes hiking, so those morning hours don’t fit. The arrangements felt rigid, with office-like schedules.

Our suite was spotless, without a speck of dust, and the view across the valley to the village of Foncine-le-Haut was magnificent. Waking up to it felt like paradise. Both breakfast and dinner were provided, homemade, and excellent. We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Chalet Les Genévriers. The welcome was very warm, and we can confirm what a previous reviewer said about the hosts being friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this gîte. A special thank you to young Noah for being so kind and helpful.

The rooms were lovely, thoughtfully designed, and spotlessly clean. We got a warm welcome too. Honestly, everything was perfect. This is definitely an address to remember.
