The meal plan served very French food from the local area. The proprietor also arranged plenty of activities during our week. At first it was snowy, with guided snowshoe hikes and cross-country skiing through ESF. There was live music on two evenings. When the rain came later, we made use of the indoor pool, ping pong, and foosball. A couple of things to be aware of: some staff don’t speak English, and the bedrooms are very small. The kids’ beds are in a loft, reached by a very steep staircase.

I’ve been back every year for four years and already plan to keep returning for at least twenty more. The welcome is always exceptionally warm, and the comfort is hard to beat. There are lots of services, most of them free. Even last year, when there wasn’t any snow at all, the stay was even more amazing. The entertainment is another treat, with jazz bands and storytellers. I highly recommend it. It’s sure to be an unforgettable experience.

Charles and Mimie are delightful hosts, full of good tips for exploring their region. They made us feel very welcome, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. This is a charming, typical Jura hotel, well located, with decent rooms and excellent food. Thank you!

I spent a few summer days here and found it a very pleasant place to stay in a beautiful region. The restaurant has a superb view, and the food is excellent. Service was efficient and friendly, and breakfast was perfect. The welcome was warm, the rooms functional and clean, and there are plenty of leisure activities. Don’t miss the swimming pool.

After skiing or snowshoeing, the restaurant’s hearty dishes really hit the spot, and the staff make an effort to keep guests happy. There’s also an indoor pool for winter and a sauna, so you’ll leave refreshed. The chalet is spacious and sits high above the charming little village of Foncine le Haut. It has a warm, family feel, with regulars who are at home there and still welcome newcomers.
