Font Romeu I

The service was the worst part. The person serving seemed annoyed that we'd come in, and I watched them deliberately turn away at least 10 people despite plenty of room. The pizza was an odd sort of mediocre, not offensive enough to be truly bad, but nowhere near good. By the third bite I was questioning my choices. If you enjoy icy stares and food that's merely okay, maybe it's for you. Otherwise, try somewhere else. Just kidding about the charm, don't stay for it.

We left without ordering food or drinks, even though we were very hungry. The host yelled at us twice, first because we were at the wrong table after his staff had shown us where to sit, and later because our child was playing. We left out of respect for ourselves. Very bad.

The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the pizza was delicious. Prices were very fair too.

The takeaway pizzas were ready so quickly that I only had time to nip across to Carrefour for milk before collecting them. We'd asked for a couple of changes to the menu pizzas, and they handled those without a problem. They were great, and the prices felt very competitive. Similar pizzas in the UK would have cost twice as much. We'll definitely order from here again when we're back in Font-Romeu.
