Residence Lagrange Vacances Les Balcons des Aiguilles

We had a wonderful week in this lovely residence. The apartments are very nice, with a beautiful mountain view, and the hostess who welcomed us was friendly and pleasant.

Good value for money, with sheets and towels provided, bread ordering, and easy access to the slopes. You can ski in and out, and there's a ski shop on the ground floor. Reception staff were friendly. There were some real drawbacks, though. The beds were very hard, and despite the listing saying separate beds, we found double beds in every bedroom. A beam in the hallway left little room in the living area, the kitchen lighting was poor, and the ski locker was tiny. The pool was warm, but the steam room and sauna weren't working. Reception hours also seemed rather random.

A very pleasant residence, well located for ski-in, ski-out. With only 26 apartments, it feels a good size for a family holiday. The pool and sauna are thoughtfully designed.

At €100 per person each night, the value just doesn't add up. The location is handy, but our room looked nothing like the photos and was filthy, with blood on the sheets, hair everywhere, and rubbish left by previous guests. The beds felt like cardboard, and we could hear every word from the neighbors. The sauna and jacuzzi were out of order, and apparently the pool only gets cleaned once a season. A complete letdown.
