Studios ALBRI

We've stayed here nine times in three years, and it remains a comfortable studio in a handy spot in Nogent / Marne, very close to the RER and therefore Paris. It's fully equipped, the bedding is impeccable, and the temperature is comfortable all year. A good address, and one I recommend.

I'm a neighbor, and the constant hum from Albri studios' air conditioning, for heating or cooling, often makes it hard to sleep or enjoy a peaceful home, day and night. Each studio has four outdoor fans, and when one malfunctions the noise becomes unbearable over time. I contacted the manager myself. She replied very politely, but didn't make any real commitments, and nothing has changed since. If I end up moving because of her negligence, I'll do it regretfully. My landlord has always tried to provide the best possible service and gave me a very quiet apartment.

It's easy to get around from here: the studios sit between two RER stations, each about 10 minutes away, and there are several bus lines too. The RER gets you into the heart of Paris in 15 minutes, so you can enjoy the city's bustle, life, activity and riches, then return to the calm, small-town feel. Local shops are nearby, including grocery stores open until 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. Walks and outings beyond Paris include Vincennes, its woods and château, and the beautiful banks of the Marne. Grande Rue Charles de Gaulle, Nogent's lovely shopping street, is reachable on foot or by bus. The owner was extremely kind, available and quick to respond, which helped everything go smoothly. I spent five wonderful weeks here. The studios were clean, comfortable and well equipped: a swivel TV viewable from the sofa or bed, hairdryer, washer-dryer, towel dryer and safe. The kitchen had almost everything for making meals, with an oven the one thing missing. The neighborhood and street were relatively quiet. With the windows and shutters shut, there was little noise and no outside light, good for sleeping in. In the quiet outside, you might sometimes hear people talking in the street. I was a little concerned at first by the ventilation system, which blows into the space between studios, but it was barely audible, just a low background hum at most. You hardly notice it in the interior stairwell and not at all inside the studio. A real favorite for me. I highly recommend them.

The place was just right for two of us, tidy and nicely furnished. We had everything we needed during the stay, and being able to book a parking space was really convenient. We enjoyed it a lot.
