Four of us paid €32.80 for coffee and pastries, which was astonishing for what we got. The coffee tasted like poor instant coffee with a strange chemical frother, and the “Patissieres” were just shop-bought buns worth a few euros. The room is cluttered with stuff meant to look quirky, but it came across as creepy. Absolutely awful. Stay well away.

The hosts are charming, and there’s interesting bric-à-brac for sale in this fascinating little English Tearoom. Try the set menu, especially the homemade Victoria sponge. Delicious!

A tiny, quaint tea shop beside the Abbey, with all sorts of interesting bric-à-brac packed into the space. It’s also a boutique hotel. Worth dropping by on a free afternoon.

The man running the place that day seemed to have no charm at all and was very rude to my 9-year-old daughter. She ended up in tears, which spoiled what had otherwise been a perfect day together. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, whether they have children or not. I wish I could have given it zero stars.

A lovely, quaint tea shop with a friendly English welcome. They serve cream tea and cakes, as well as breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. They also have a B&B.
