The rooms are private and ensuite. Sharing a meal at their table brings together good food and wine with music and conversation. The host is a gourmet and gourmand, a bilingual storyteller with endless funny tales, and a musician with real skill who can move or amuse. The hostess knows so much about Basque customs and ways of life, and she’s an artist in her own right.

At night you can hear the nightingale singing at this pretty, peaceful place. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was good. The owners were very friendly.

This was a memorable stay, a real peaceful retreat with an extraordinary couple who know how to host. The setting is wonderful, and the homemade breakfast and dinner were excellent. It’s 50 minutes from Lourdes, and a true paradise if you love nature.
