The sign says two stars, but this place felt much better than that. The host was so friendly and helpful, and there was plenty for breakfast. Dinner was superb too. One of my favourite places from my travels around France.

A really pleasant hotel, right at the edge of the Provençal village of Fontvieille.

The meals were a real highlight, with excellent sauces and a different daily menu made from quality ingredients. We also found the hotel very well located, and the warm welcome made us feel at ease. Staff were attentive and happy to share ideas for seeing the region, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. Our only tiny niggle was the bathroom mirror, which sat a little low for taller people. We had a great stay and would happily recommend the hotel.

The location was peaceful and made a great base for exploring the Alpilles and further afield. It’s easy to understand why people return. We had a spacious, comfortable room, and the child-safe pool was a lovely extra. Breakfast was a generous buffet, and dinner came as an affordable set menu with tasty, well-prepared dishes. The desserts were especially good. The owners were kind, flexible, and full of useful advice. Thanks for such a nice finish to our trip!

Dinner at the restaurant is definitely worth recommending. The kids loved the pool, and we were made to feel so welcome that staying here felt almost like being at home.
