We only stayed one night, but it was such a cozy, enjoyable visit. The building is adorable, with lots of interesting architectural details, and the staff were very friendly. We got by despite the French-English language gap. Breakfast was pleasant and about average for Europe. I’d happily stay longer and explore the very cute nearby town. There are several restaurants and shops on the main street, around a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel.

We stopped here on the way to Brittany and again on the return trip. It's just off the motorway, and the room worked well for our family, with a large double bed and a bunk bed. It was en suite and warm in summer, though it had large windows. Breakfast was included and good, with the usual continental choices and strong coffee.

The outside is probably the only thing I liked. It suggests a rustic French hotel, but the historic character seems buried under cheap, shiny decor with no taste. I slept badly too. The bed felt like a brick wall, and with thin, cardboard-like walls and a view of a regional road, I needed a couple of physio sessions to move again afterward.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the setting is beautiful. Breakfast and a tour are included. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would love to return!
